About My Approach

Bar Zafrany (she/her/hers) is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Lic. #135577) who tailors her practice toward families, children, and teens. Bar received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Child and Adolescent Development. She later received her Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at California State University, Northridge.

With her background in human development, Bar operates through a systemic approach to uplift and resolve conflict among individuals, couples, and families with the aim of achieving emotional well-being.

Bar believes that any successful therapeutic experience occurs through a sense of trust, transparency, and understanding between the therapist and the client. Bar engages her clients through a humanistic approach to empower and motivate individuals through their own journey. Bar works collaboratively to meet each client where they are currently at. Each goal is tailored specifically to each individual based on their needs, aspirations, and motives.

Naturally, humans are interdependent throughout our upbringing. Therefore, connection is rooted in many of our struggles and successes. With this in mind, Bar also utilizes an attachment lens to build a healthy foundation with each individual, as she believes that early attachment is the catalyst to any healthy interpersonal and intrapersonal relationship.
